Pick of the Week: Woooo! Scary!

SEAN: There are a ton of wonderful debuts out this week, but I know me, and I know what I like. So yeah, my pick is the 4th volume of The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy at All, because Green Yuri Supremacy.

MICHELLE: I definitely pre-ordered several of this week’s debuts, but Wandering Cat’s Cage is the one I’ve been thinking about the most, since reading its description, so I’ll go with that, this week!

KATE: I’m going off list to recommend one of my all-time favorite scary manga, brought to you courtesy of Dark Horse. Gou Tanabe has been faithfully adapting H.P.Lovecraft’s work one story at a time. While all them are great in their own way, my personal favorite is The Shadow Over Innsmouth, which really captures the oppressiveness of winter in coastal New England. Add some freaky monsters and some weird villagers, and you have a spooky page-turner that you could enjoy in a single sitting.

ANNA: I’m going to go with Phenomenon X: Paranormal Crime Files just because it sounds like the type of frivolous escape that I’m in the mood for right now!

ASH: This is a week in which my wallet will be decimated if I’m not careful. If I can only choose one title, Wandering Cat’s Cage is my official pick. But I’m thrilled to see Erin the Beast Player in print, still astonished The Legend of Koizumi is being released, grateful to see A Lullaby From Hell from Hideshi Hino, and very curious about How to Keep a Human. (I mean, look at that cover. It’s delightful!)
