With Monday quickly approaching, here’s a quick reminder to all that the Manhwa Moveable Feast is nearly upon us!
Let’s review the basics: This month’s series is Kim Dong Hwa’s Eisner-nominated trilogy, The Color of Earth, The Color of Water, and The Color of Heaven, published in English by First Second.
The Manga Moveable Feast is open to participation by anyone. No blog? No problem! Just email me your submission anytime between Monday, June 21st and Wednesday, June 30th, and I’ll post it on your behalf! Join the new MMF Google Group for updates. Also, feel free to leave any questions here in comments.
I’ll make an introductory post to the series on Monday, June 21st and let things go from there. Don’t forget to email or direct message me a link to your post!
In other news, you may have noticed that clicking on this post has taken you to a brand new blog! Welcome to Manhwa Bookshelf, a new manhwa-focused companion site to Manga Bookshelf. Check out the front page to get the idea. From now on, Manhwa Monday posts will originate in this blog (along with posts on the Manhwa Moveable Feast), but don’t worry, everything will still be carried over to my main blog, Manga Bookshelf, so if you’re only reading there, you won’t miss a thing!
Since this is a brand new venture, please feel free to leave feedback on how it works for you! There are known issues with IE 6 (sorry about that) which I’ll continue tinkering with as I’m able.
So have a look around and let me know what you think!

June 18, 2010 at 6:34 pmYou know I already like this theme, but I just wanted to add that I love the Korean text (isn’t this called Hangul?) near the title. It looks swanky. :)

June 19, 2010 at 12:34 pmJust wanted to second Michelle’s comments — the new blog looks great, and the link between the main site and the new one is working seamlessly. (At least in Firefox!) I like how clean the design is — the trend in magazine themes seems busier and busier, so this is a nice departure. Looking forward to seeing what develops here!

June 19, 2010 at 12:38 pmThanks, Kate! Thanks for letting me know it works in your browser too. :) I must admit it feels kind of liberating to have a second blog where I don’t feel like I *have* to have as much stuff as on the main blog. That’s what lets me get away with a clean theme like this.
So far the content here is just pilfered from the main site, but there will be more to come!
