Life of me.

I’ve always thought you can tell a lot about a person just by looking at his/her desk. I was looking at mine just now, and I thought it revealed quite a bit about me.

Details after the jump!

Mostly what I see is a great big mess, but here are a few items of note:

(You may need to check out the larger view to spot them!)

Angry Ed Elric hat
Stuffed seal won by husband from one of those claw machines (he’s a maniac with those)
Musical shaker shaped like a pear
Drawing of fox spirit from xxxHolic made by my friend Kathleen
Serenity promo poster, signed by Sean Maher and Morena Baccarin
Vocal Score of Leonard Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti
Stacks of review copies waiting for my attention
xxxHolic/Tsubasa pencil boards from the awesome Ed Sizemore
Photo of my mom reading to my sister and me when we were kids
iPod
Jason Thompson’s Manga: The Complete Guide
Art purchased at NYAF from Artist Alley
B.J. Chute’s Greenwillow
Mokona backpack
Scarf knitted for me by Gloss *heart*
Pigs (at least three visible)
Sunset/sunrise photographs taken by my husband
Desk organizer, so overflowing with “important papers” that you can no longer see the organizer
Manga, manga, manga

So does my desk present my life in a nutshell? I wonder.

ETA: ONE YEAR LATER!

I love the photo! I cleaned up my desk yesterday, so it probably is no longer the real me. One of my favorite photos of your desk is one taken when you were in college.

I don’t even remember that photo!

Ah, see, I think a cleaned-up desk is very much you! :)

I’ll have to see if I can put my hands on that photo. Probably now that I want to find it, I won’t be able to.

Actually….. I found the photo quite quickly. I’ll show it to you when next we meet.

Oh yes, I was noticing as I cleaned my desk yesterday that I have no photos of you around my desk. I need to do something about that.

Or you can just look over at Dad’s desk, with the giant wall of photos. :D

hee hee. It’s true. It’s not as if you aren’t up all over the walls of the room!
